Richard is committed to the seamless integration of Eastern and Western therapeutic approaches with traditional Occupational Therapy. By integrating traditions of the East (Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Qigong, Tai Chi Chuan) with somatic therapies of the West (Feldenkrais Method, Myofascial Release, NDT, PNF, Osteopathy, and Positional Release Therapy), he has developed a uniquely integrative approach to support clients suffering from pain or disability.
This site is currently under development, but will offer a wide variety of information. Under the tab "RX", sample treatment sessions will be provided to clarify how a variety of approaches can be weaved together to provide a highly individualized session. Under "Conditions", descriptions and interventions for specific health issues will be clarified. Articles and audio will be available for free under the "Articles" and "Media" tabs. The "Blog" will keep you up to date with the Easy Does It = Strength, Awareness, Flexibility and Energy program specifically designed to address the needs of older adults, other community wellness based programs and integrative treatment ideas.
